🚨 Beware of PC Scams! 🚨

We've been seeing some sneaky PC scams going around lately, and we want to make sure you don't fall victim to them. Every week we have someone in the TDR Computers shop who has, so please read on for some tips on how to avoid being scammed.

🔐 Secure Your PC:

Install reliable antivirus software and keep it up-to-date. Regularly update your operating system and applications to patch any vulnerabilities that scammers could exploit.

🔒 Protect Your Info:

Scammers may try to trick you into giving away sensitive information, like your passwords or credit card details. Remember, no legitimate company will ever ask for this information via email or direct message. Stay vigilant!

🔍 Verify URLs:

Always double-check the URLs (Web Addresses) before clicking on any links. Phishing emails or messages can lead you to fake websites that look identical to the real ones. Look for the padlock icon 🔒 in the address bar for added security.

🙅‍♂️ Don't Engage:

If you encounter a suspicious message or pop-up claiming your PC is infected or needs immediate attention, don't panic!!! Never call the provided numbers or follow their instructions. Reach out to a trusted tech support service instead.

🧠 Stay Informed:

Try to keep yourself updated on the latest scamming tactics. Scammers are getting more sophisticated, and it's crucial to be aware of their tricks to avoid being caught off guard.

🤝 Share This Info:

Scammers are constantly changing tactics, so it's essential to keep each other informed. Share this post with your friends and family to create a stronger, safer online community.
